And try to steer clear of Mono sodium Glutamate (MSG). It's mostly found in junk food like chips. Potato chips are fine (unflavored). Or even sun chips if you like them. And don't stop doing yoga. It's great for breath control which is important when a panic attack hits. Even if it doesn't seem to work. It takes practice. Don't expect results overnight.

*edit* I tried meds... been med free for 3 years...
References :

Experience. You are not going to suffocate, have a heart attack or croak. (Have you ever?) They are just "sensations" brought on by an overreacting limbic system (controls fight or flight response). It's amazing what your body can do lol. There is nothing physically or mentally wrong with you, don't give your sensations a second thought--the trouble is that you do. You probably overanalyze your sitation to death.

What triggered your panic attacks is irrevelant. The limbic system responds to behavior and if you start acting like a non anxious person you will retrain your limbic system to be less anxious. By overanalyzing your anxiety and relying on others for reassurance (acting like an anxious person) you are feeding it. So stop obcessing about the way you feel and just go on doing things like normal. Distract yourself with work and hobbies. Panic attacks are viscous cycle of "fear". Fear is what brings them on; the fear of the horrible sensations. Just give into them, don't try to fight them. The more you obcess about them the more power you give them.

Remember how you get scared after watching a scary movie? And you look around thinking that a zombie will jump out, and even though you know it isn't real you are still scared? How do you get over that? Do you take pills? No-- You don't obcess about the zombie monsters. You know the movie isn't real so you just go and live your life and eventually the fear goes away. Same thing here.
References :

I've experienced them before. Been panic-free for years and it feels like I never had them.

Re: can i stop my panic attacks?

Hello,
You may be able to lower these by taking a prescription medecine prescribed by your doctor. Also you could breath deeply.
Good Luck,
Lucas
References :

Re: can i stop my panic attacks?

PAXIL.
