There's this strange herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced... you have that "learned behavior" in your mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction... But you can climb above it. Tell yourself
you are going to be OK.

I admire you for going out with agoraphobia.
References :

Re: Is it possible to lose bowel control during a panic attack?

It's possible, but if you do, it's because of the self fulfilling prophecy :P You feared that you would...so you did.

No restroom? What about a bush? Or a tree? Or a car, even, for cover :P Don't worry about losing bowel control, because all you're doing is stressing out about a what-if situation that will likely never happen.

References :

Re: Is it possible to lose bowel control during a panic attack?

i suppose anything is possible, but because of the nature of panic, it is highly unlikely that you would lose sphincter control.
References :

RN

Re: Is it possible to lose bowel control during a panic attack?

Girl I think that's in your head. Because this thought never crossed your mind until you found out you would be somewhere without a toilet. I highly doubt that would happen. Just make sure you go to the bathroom before you go and don't drink a lot. That's all you can do right?! :) Good luck!
