I would make an appt. with my doctor right away and see if they could give me some sort of anti anxiety medication to help calm me and give me rest. This is really not good for you.

It could be stress related. Are you eating well? Because you are stressed you might be eating less, causing low sugar levels, Go to your GP.

Go to the doctor. If you can, also make an appointment at a pyschiratrist, because if you are constantly waking up at night in a panic it's probably a mental thing. It's probably the stress. You're having to deal with a lot, but it's worth to see a professional. They can help you find the best way to deal with this problem.

I hope you work it out!

Panic attacks are really scary. I started getting them almost four years ago and im really sorry to tell you but there is no Miracle cure to get rid of them but you can try to gain some control over them. My advice would be to read up on them, there are so many good websites about dealing with panic attacks and many of them have forums. It really helped me out when i first got them. I thought i was going crazy or that i was the only one, so hearing about other people and their experiences made me feel a bit better.
Stress does often bring panic attacks on.make a list of things you are worried/stressed about and see what you can tackle, ask friends or family for help and advice.

    Some of my tips-
    *Dr Bach's rescue remedy
*take your mind off p.a by doing something that focuses your attention elsewhere, eg- deleting old phone messages, writing down the words of your favorite song, making a cup of tea
*talk to someone, you would be surprised how many people you know suffer from panic disorder, sharing experiences brought me closer to a girl at work
    *see your doctor

    wish you all the best,
    x

Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level.
But there are natural ways to do it without medication. There's this strange herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced... you have that "learned behavior" in your mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction... There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to....

I've answered a similar question on another post, but it's even more relevant here...

A website I found useful for a friend (very close friend) lists some options available. Let's cut 'n paste here.... :)

"Natural panic attack remedies generally fall into three categories: Cognitive Therapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (Energy Therapy), and Herbal / Supplement Remedies."

What we did, we Googled each category and we got some helpful tips. I recommend you do the same as, I find, different people get panic attacks for different reasons.

BTW, the website provides 3 practical techniques that my friend is very grateful for. Here's the link if you're intersted:

    Good Luck!
